Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 Page

Hello lovely Year 3!

We hope this finds you well and enjoying the summer weather - hasn't it been gorgeous?

Here is your next two week distance learning beginning on Monday 29th June and ending Friday 10th July. We have been busy preparing all sorts of wonderful activities for you to tackle at home. Remember to send in your work on DB Primary when you are asked to - we love hearing from you!  We want to hear from you all at least once a week please.

Don't forget that assemblies are uploaded to the school YouTube channel on Monday (Mr Puxley) Wednesday (Singing with Mrs Mason) and Thursday (Mrs Webb).

Hello everyone and welcome back to your next block of Virtual School. We have a lot of brilliant activities for you to complete this week. Don't forget that assemblies are uploaded to the school YouTube chanel on Monday (Mr Puxley) Wednesday (Singing with Mrs Mason) and Thursday (Mrs Webb).

We hope that you are all safe and well.  Please keep in contact over DB Primary if you are able to. We love seeing and hearing about all of the fun things you are getting up to during the lockdown. Take care and we will see you all soon.

Hello and welcome back to your Virtual School! We hope you had a great half term, really enjoying the sunshine. We have planned all sorts of activities for you, including our second Science Virtual Trip on Monday 18th June (although you can watch it for up to a week after that date)!

Hello lovely Year 3s! We are all missing you very much and  hope you are still doing well. Above you will find your distance learning school work to be completed over the next week. We are very excited about the school trip that is going to be happening on Monday. Seeing as the school trip is virtual one, Mr Wilson has said that it's OK for you to have yoghurt if you want to! wink

The DB primary forums have been  bit quiet in the last few weeks, so to encourage you to get on and use it a little bit more, two of the activities this week are based on DB Primary. Please keep your emails coming to us as it is wonderful to see you all and hear about all of the fantastic learning that you have been getting up to at home.

Stay safe and we hope to see you all soon!

You can find your maths resources by clicking on the Maths Star below as well as on the White Rose website. The video will be on the link as usual.

Happy Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!!) We hope you are doing well and keeping yourselves active.  Above you will find your distance learning school work to be completed over the next two weeks. There are a few of activities (two in each week) where we have asked you to complete or finish off the task on an email on DB Primary. Please make sure you do this as it helps us see what you have all been learning. Also it's great to hear from you to see how you are doing. The DB Primary link is on the "children" tab at the top right of the page.

Our new topic for the term is Natural Explorers. You will see this theme run through our English, science, art and history/geography this term. We will be getting you to find out about:

  • famous explorers such as Francis Drake and Ernest Shackleton (see picture below).
  • famous natural artists such as Georgia O'Keefe (see the gorgoeus picture of the blue morning glory flower below!) and Andy Goldsworthy.
  • the different parts of plants and their life cycle.

Online PE lessons with Joe Wickes (The Body Coach)

A message from Joe Wickes, the Body Coach:

"I am holding LIVE PE lessons at 9am Monday to Friday on my YouTube channel for children of all ages. Parents are going to be under pressure next week and for 30 minutes a day, I can take over and inspire and energise the kids to get active, bounce around and have fun. You can even join in with the kids."
