As it is now the Easter Holiday, we are not going to set you any work to do but we have a few challenges and ideas to help you decide what to do each day.
We would still like to hear from you though DB primary, we all like to read your news.

Welcome to the Year 4 page! We hope that you are keeping yourself safe and well at home. For the next two weeks (Monday 23rd March-Friday 3rd April) we have attached guidelines of work for your children to complete whilst they are at home. This is just a guide, please feel free to think outside of the box, play games and keep yourself as active as possible! All the work provided can be found at the bottom of this page in the 'Home Learning' tab. No need to print anything off, children can just write the answers in their books or take pictures which can be uploaded on DB primary.
PE Activities: Joe Wickes on YouTube is providing 30 minutes of brilliant exercises everyday at 9am. Don't panic if you have other plans at 9am, they remain on YouTube so can be accessed at any time during the time. All teachers are joining in, you should too!
Remember to use DB Primary to keep in contact with everyone, Miss Webb is going to be active at some point every day whilst the school is closed.

Welcome to the Year 4 Page!
Miss Webb teaches in Class 3 and we welcome Mr Barnes who is now teaching in Class 4! We are very lucky to have the help from Miss Campbell, Mrs Henville and Mrs Kaminski as our TAs throughout the week.
Across the term, we have Madame Kelly teaching French, Mr Russell teaching PE and Mrs Mason teaching Music.
Please make sure PE kits are in school every day so our timetable can be as flexible as possible, however, we will have PE with Mr Russell on a Monday and Gymnastics on a Thursday the first half term, dance on a Thursday after half term.
Please also make sure that homework is handed in on a Monday/Tuesday every week ready to be marked and sent back out on a Wednesday. Children need to be spending 40 minutes on both their red book and their maths book. This includes their reading records which needs to be signed by an adult and include at least 3 reads per week. It is essential that children are using and accessing TT Rockstars regularly in preparation for their times tables check. Please see your class teacher with any further questions.

Our topic this term is the Rainforests! We will be exploring both the rainforest as habitats including animals, as well as deforestation and conservation. During our term, we will be hosting a Rainforest Café on Wednesday 26th February to raise money for a cause (TBC). We will also get to enrich our learning with a trip to Colchester Zoo on Wednesday 1st April.
In addition to our topic, we will also be hosting the Year 4 Sleepover on Friday 28th February. The children will receive a letter with more information and a parents meeting will be held on Monday 3rd February.
